Please join us on Thursday, September 2 from 3:30 – 5:00 PM forthe final session of this series. After the session we are having a mixer.

The ACT-IAC Small Business SIG presents segment 3 of our Procurement Process for Successful Contract Awards series. We've discussed marketing to the federal government and understanding the federal budgeting process from the agency perspective. Now the last step in the process – understanding the funding and how it is applied to present and future procurements.

Joining us are two fantastic resources to discuss the ins and outs of this final step that a small business needs to understand in pursuit of government contracts.

We would like to welcome:
Steve Schwartz, Acquisition Analyst, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OSCPP)

Lee Harvey, President - Lee Harvey Consulting, LLC, former Deputy Program Executive Officer, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS).

Building on the previous two sessions- "Successful Marketing in the Current Procurement Environment” and "Following the Money” - this session will answer several questions, including:

  • How does a small business untangle the federal government regarding how the monies come from agency budgets to potential projects?
  • After potential projects are determined, how do you plug yourself in at the appropriate time to position for upcoming procurements?
  • When can you be sure you have a great opportunity to succeed in pursuing this potential piece of federal work?

The meeting will be held from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Vangent, 4250 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 1200, Arlington VA. TheVangent facility is a secure facility and requires an escort to the appropriate floor. Please plan to arrive early.

At the end of our event Sept 2, we would like to invite all of you to a social immediately afterward at Willow Restaurant; 4301 North Fairfax Drive located directly across the street from the Vangent offices,
