Invitation: White House Briefing Call on Women & Climate Change
Tuesday, June 25, 2013
White House Briefing Call on Women and Climate Change
President Obama laid out his vision for a comprehensive plan to address climate
change – reduce carbon pollution, prepare our country for the impacts of
climate change, and lead global efforts to fight it. He outlined an
all-of-the-above approach to cut carbon pollution, protect our kids’ health and
begin to slow the effects of climate change so we can leave a cleaner, more
stable environment for future generations. There is no single step that can
reverse the effects of climate change, but we have a moral obligation to our
kids to do all that we can. We’ll need an all hands on deck approach to move
this forward and voices from all across the spectrum as part of this
conversation – parents, students, faith leaders, business and constituency
