NSBA seeks Small Business Owners for Lewis A. Shattuck Small Business Advocate of the Year Award

NSBA is currently seeking active and involved small-business owners for
the 2014 Lewis A. Shattuck Small Business Advocate of the Year Award.
The award honors small-business owners who go above and beyond in advocating
for the small-business community, and is a great way to get national
recognition of your efforts. Perhaps even more important, being named a
finalist or the overall winner of this award will send a strong message
to your clients and community that you care about America¹s small
Any small-business owner with fewer than 500 employees is eligible for
the award. The qualifications include: a commitment to small-business
advocacy above and beyond policies that specifically impact their own
business or industry; a proven history of volunteer efforts to advance
and improve the overall small-business community; success in advocating
for pro-small business policies; and success and growth as a
NSBA will choose five finalists and one award winner to recognize in
June in conjunction with the Washington Presentation, June 23 and 24.
The deadline for application packets is April 25, 2014.
