WIPP AND FAIRFAX COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HOLD UNITED NATIONS OPPORTUNITY FORUM FOR AREA BUSINESS OWNERS
Washington, DC – Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) and the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to hold an Opportunity Forum for business owners interested in procurement opportunities with the United Nations. On Tuesday, September 9th, area business executives will have an opportunity to hear from leaders at the UN and The United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) about procurement prospects, process and interests in an array of fields.
The goal of this UN Opportunity Forum is to serve as a catalyst in providing business owners with information about UNPD’s corporate development programs, details on how to register as a UN vendor, UNPD procurement needs, guidelines for current UN procurement activities, and corporate and community confidence in UN procurement activities.
“The United Nation’s global network represents a new marketplace of procurement prospects for businesses. With $3 billion in annual purchasing power, WIPP is excited to co-host this forum and work with The United Nations Procurement Division to specifically educate women-owned firms on the procurement opportunities at the UN,” said Barbara Kasoff, WIPP President.
