About Panel Chair and Moderator Deidrie Towery
A 35-year tech industry veteran, DeeDee founded ProActive Business Solutions in 1998. Since then, she has built the company from just two people to more than 200 full- and part-time employees located throughout the U.S. and Canada. Her commitment to the
highest levels of integrity, accountability and customer service has resulted in long-term relationships with hundreds of companies. An involved, hands-on manager, she remains active in project management and in overseeing the services the company offers.
Before founding ProActive, DeeDee designed and installed computer systems all over the world in such industries as hospitality, utilities, financial services, IT, semiconductors and healthcare. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
About Rand Morimoto Ph.D
Dr. Morimoto is the former Cyber-Security advisor to the White House (2002-2007) and Y2K Advisor to President Clinton (1997-2000). He works with industry leaders in healthcare, government, biotech, finance, and aerospace in planning and implementing technologies to meet regulatory requirements. Rand keynotes conferences and conventions around the world every month and has authored over three dozen global bestselling books.
Rand is the President of Convergent Computing, a 65-person technology consulting firm he founded in 1986 that works with some of the largest enterprises in the world in their technology strategy and technology implementation endeavors. In his free time, Dr. Morimoto is a Trustee on the Governing Board for Saint Mary's College, and Leadership Board Member for the Chabot Space and Science Center (a NASA and Smithsonian Institute planetarium museum and school education center).
About Anne O'Neill
Anne is Principal and Co-founder of Ignyte Marketing Group. Anne thrives on helping clients better understand the needs of their customers so that they can deliver solutions that are easy to acquire and use and she loves seeing a
good strategic plan put into action. She believes passionately that data-driven decisions drive superior results. Anne has 20 years of experience in software and cloud-based services industries, focusing on consumers, small businesses, and enterprises. She has held
roles in business development, regional, solutions and product marketing and led teams based in both North America and Europe. Before founding Ignyte Marketing Group, Anne held roles at Symantec, VERITAS Software, Oracle, Intel, and Kintana (now Hewlett Packard).
Anne holds a BA and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. Anne lives in Oakland, CA with her husband and two kids. When she is not at work, you'll find her helping with fundraising for her local elementary school, networking with other Oakland entrepreneurs, at an indoor cycling class, or trying to get her kids to eat kale!
About David Pell
David Pell has devoted his career to promoting the value of supplier diversity as a small business owner, consultant and full-time employee. In April 2013, Pell assumed a full-time position with PG&E where he has responsibility for implementing key supplier diversity initiatives to increase PG&E supplier diversity program performance. Prior to joining PG&E, Pell spent eleven years as a consultant to AT&T Enterprise Sales where he was responsible for leveraging supplier diversity to increase
revenue with AT&T's largest customers in the Federal, state/local government, and fortune 100 market segments.
Pell helped create the first highly successful diverse value-added reseller in the telecommunications industry while working for Nortel Networks. Over the years, Pell had the opportunity utilize his organizational development and transformational skills helping some of Northern California's largest corporations develop more effective supplier diversity programs.
