  • Revenue Procedure 2015-15 (rp-15-15) provides the 2015 monthly national average premium for qualified health plans that have a bronze level of coverage for taxpayers to use in determining their maximum individual shared responsibility payment under § 5000A(c)(1)(B) of the Internal Revenue Code and § 1.5000A-4 of the Income Tax Regulations.

 

  • Revenue Ruling 2015-3 (Rev Rul 2015-3) provides various prescribed rates for federal income tax purposes including the applicable federal interest rates, the adjusted applicable federal interest rates, the adjusted federal long-term rate, the adjusted federal long-term tax-exempt rate. These rates are determined as prescribed by § 1274.

 

  • Notice 2015-09 (n-15-09) provides limited relief for taxpayers who have a balance due on their 2014 income tax return as a result of reconciling advance payments of the premium tax credit against the premium tax credit allowed on the tax return.

 

  • Notice 2015-08 (n-15-08) provides guidance on section 45R for certain small employers that cannot offer a qualified health plan (QHP) through a Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Exchange because the employer’s principal business address is in a county in which a QHP through a SHOP Exchange will not be available for the 2015 calendar year (the counties, which are listed in the notice, are all in Iowa).

 

  • Notice 2015-07 (n-15-07) announces that the IRS and Treasury Department anticipate issuing proposed regulations that would permit a state or local retirement system that is a governmental plan (within the meaning of section 414(d)) to cover public charter school employees if certain requirements are satisfied.  The notice also announces that broader transition relief will be addressed in the proposed regulations.  The notice includes a request for public comments.
