Dear Jason,

January marked the 2-year anniversary of our journey to source $250 billion more in U.S.-made products over 10 years. We’ve made some incredible strides since we launched our commitment and are proud to spotlight a Walmart supplier that is steering bikes – and jobs – back to the U.S.

Check out this video and blog post to find out how:

We will continue to do our part by working with our suppliers to connect them to state resources, supply chain needs and financing. But we’re just getting started and more work still needs to be done.

Walmart, the Walmart Foundation and the U.S. Conference of Mayors announced a $10 million Innovation Fund to focus on the development of domestic manufacturing. In August, seven leading research and development institutions were awarded $4 million in grants to foster America’s growing manufacturing footprint. This summer we are doing it again by awarding grants to institutions researching solutions for domestic manufacturing. To learn more, click here.

When people buy products made here in the U.S., they put Americans to work and they help build communities and families. We are excited about the prospects of the next 8 years as this commitment continues to build scale and make a real difference for our customers, communities and company.

Because at the end of the day, it’s about helping people live better.
