The next small business environmental roundtable will focus on the Articles Exemption in the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Significant New Use rules, and the Overview of the 2015 Definition of Solid Waste (DSW) final rule.

EPA proposes revisions to the Ozone NAAQS

On December 17, 2014, EPA issued proposed revisions to the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for ozone. This widely anticipated rule proposes to lower the primary standard to a level within the range of 65 to 70 parts per billion. Because the NAAQS impose requirements only on states, EPA has certified that the rule will not have a significant economic impact on small entities. Nonetheless, small businesses and their representatives are concerned that lowering this standard will lead to significant economic harm. The Office of Advocacy held a Small Business Roundtable on this rule on January 23, 2015.
