Senators Urge SBA to Expedite Implementation of women's Small Business Procurement Parity Act

On February 26th, 8 Senators signed a letter to SBA Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet expressing their support for the Women’s Small Business Procurement Parity Act and encouraging her to swiftly promulgate the regulations removing the barriers that prevent federal agencies from awarding more contracts to women-owned small businesses.
Women Impacting Public Policy appreciates the efforts of U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Ben Cardin (D-MD), Angus King (I-ME), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) for their support in bringing parity to the WOSB Set Aside program. WIPP fully endorses the inclusion of Sole Source Authority to the WOSB Set-Aside program and encourages the SBA to quickly create the regulations assisting the U.S. Government to meet it’s 5% WOSB contracting goal.
