Communications & Distribution Sectors, Systems & Technology Group

Alesia is a technology professional with a 20+ year career in various industry areas of the communications and distribution sectors. She has held positions with varying levels of responsibility in sales both within IBM and within Telcordia Technologies (now Ericsson) as well as management positions supporting both line and staff level organizations for several industries in both companies.

She currently works with clients such as Coca Cola and CenturyLink.

In addition to her corporate career, she has founded GaleGalen, a boutique custom clothing line specializing in After Five and Red Carpet wear. Recent events have enabled Alesia to expand into professional/corporate attire as part of the future line.  Apparel design and production has been a simmering passion; involvement with several organizations such as WIPP that promote women owned businesses provided the encouragement to take the leap.

Currently Alesia serves on the WIPP Leadership Advisory Council.  Other board appointments include the GMSDC (Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council), the University of Chicago Harris School Alumni Council (Co-Chair Alumni Affairs), the ASDP (Association of Sewing and Design Professionals – VP Communications) and a Trustee of Christ United Methodist Church in Roswell, Georgia.  She is also a member of the Wireless Technology Forum, a southeastern based forum for technology professionals; as well as a member of the Society of Women Engineers.

During the summer of 2013, Alesia worked closely with WIPP to ensure Georgia legislators (Congr. Price, Senators Chambliss and Isakson) were aware of the organization, its mission and the issues that were/are in WIPPs advocacy agenda.

Ms. Booth earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tougaloo College and a master’s degree in Public Policy Studies and Management from University of Chicago.
