The comment period for the Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) proposed rule has closed, but comment periods are still open for the proposed rules below. Make sure to submit your comments since many of these regulations affect women entrepreneurs.
An SBA notice of proposed rule making (NPRM) on whether (1) the collection of data is necessary for SBA to adequately address barriers women face in obtaining intellectual property (IP) protection, (2) the IP burden estimates are accurate, (3) there are ways to minimize burdens, and (4) there are ways to enhance quality, utility, and clarity of information. Comments are due May 18, 2015.
An SBA advance notice of proposed rule making (ANPRM) for comments on the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program. Comments are due June 1, 2015.
Another SBA ANPRM for comments on management and oversight of the Women’s Business Centers program. Comments should include how to address statutory requirements for an SBDC Network to primarily utilize institutions of higher education and Women’s Business Centers as new Service Centers. Comments are due June 22, 2015.
An SBA proposed rule to implement sole source authority in order to award sole source contracts to women-owned small businesses for the WOSB procurement program. Comments are due June 30, 2015.
