Greetings from the Strategic Partnership Office,

We have an exciting couple of weeks coming up for events and webinars! We are proud to announce our recent partnership with Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP)! Last week, Assistant Secretary Marcus Jadotte and Executive Director Kristie Arslan participated in a strategic partnership signing here at the Department of Commerce. WIPP is dedicated to increasing awareness about exporting in the U.S. business community and providing education and resources to assist small- and medium-sized women-owned businesses succeed. Check out their ExportNOW serieswhich helps businesses determine if and where their company and its product or service might succeed in the export market. The next WIPP webinar is on July 28th, so be sure not to miss it! More details can be found below in our webinar section.

We would also like to highlight an upcoming webinar with eBay about international e-Commerce on July 30, which will discuss three surprising truths about international e-Commerce from the industry leaders at eBay. This will preview our upcoming Discover Global Markets event October 8-9th in Dallas, Texas.

As you may remember, the 11th Edition of the Basic Guide to Exporting was released in May. Since then, it has been continuously updated and expanded due to new information and demand. At this time, the Basic Guide to Exporting is only available in English, but we believe there would be sufficient demand to justify producing the guide in Spanish and perhaps other languages prominent in the United States. To accomplish this goal, ITA is inquiring whether any of our partners would be interested in handling the translation element. ITA would be happy to assist in the promotion of a Spanish language edition. If your business would be interested, please contactDoug.Barry@trade.gov for more information.

Sincerely,

Jillian Doody, Director

Office of Strategic Partnerships

Green Technology Suppliers Meetings

November 17-19, 2015

Contact: Ryan.Hollowell@trade.gov or Bob.Deane@trade.gov

Save the date and join us for the Green Technologies Suppliers Meetings (GTSM) in Seattle, Washington.  The U.S. Commercial Service has partnered with GTSM for a one-of-a-kind business forum that gives U.S. based manufacturers in the green tech industry a chance to meet with utilities, Departments of Energy and large conglomerates in an effort to increase their sales abroad. This is not your traditional exhibition as GTSM is solely focused on giving exhibitors pre-arranged one-on-one meetings to help facilitate sales with their specially recruited group of foreign buyers. Don’t miss out on the U.S.A.’s first international event with a total and exclusive focus on the supply chain opportunities for the clean energy and environmental sectors! Please take a look at the Webinars section for webinars on this initiative. To learn more, click here.
