Senate Resolution Recognizes Small Business Saturday
Monday, September 19, 2016
Congress designates Saturday, November 26th as Small Business Saturday.
Congressional support for Small Business Saturday was formally displayed in a Senate Resolution designating November 26th as Small Business Saturday. Senate Committee on Small Business Chair David Vitter (R-LA) and Ranking Member Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) introduced the resolution earlier this week and were joined by thirty-seven other Senators as cosponsors.
Now in its seventh year, Small Business Saturday has helped boost sales at small, local, independently owned businesses that are the backbone of their communities. This day provides an ideal opportunity to support local independent businesses during their most critical time of the year.
WIPP continues to lead the Small Business Saturday Coalition and celebrates the event’s impact on women-owned small businesses.
