House Introduces Bill to Raise Net Worth Cap for Minority Small Business Program

Currently, the minority small business assistance program excludes individuals whose net worth is more than $750,000. H.R. 4253, sponsored by Rep. G.K. Butterfield, D-N.C., would raise the limits, which were established in 1988, for inflation, bringing it to $978,722. It also would allow for increases with future inflation.
