Women On Course Exciting Partnership with American Cancer Society

On May 4th, the American Cancer Society is launching a multi million dollar media campaign to promote a new initiative, Choose You. It is aimed at corporate women to commit 30 minutes each day to choose a healthy lifestyle activity which research indicates lowers the incidence of cancer. The concept is that women will engage with ACS by declaring a healthily lifestyle goal, and friends and associates will donate to ACS as they complete their goal.
(such as losing 10 pounds, stop smoking, exercising each day etc) ACS expects to engage 700,000 women in the first year.
So where does Women on Course fit in? ACS has asked WOC to join their select group of partners such as title sponsors Sprit Zero and Walgreens. All Women on Course signature events (in 2010 we have over 65 events in 21 metro cities) will be designated as Choose You events and promoted on their website, in the media, etc. What ACS likes the most about our program is the variety of fashion lunches, spa and golf events to bring women into the game of golf in a very welcoming manner. They were also impressed by the quality of our venues, partners and guests that attend.
We are looking at a long term partnership, as every May becomes known as Choose You month!
