Submit Comments on the Proposed SBA Women's Procurement Program

·It is time to act and make your voice heard in Washington! The deadline for submitting comments is Monday, May 3rd.

  • WIPP created a template for comment submission, which you can access by clicking here.

It is of the upmost importance to submit your comments and voice your opinion before this proposal is finalized. Some key points of the proposed program include:

· Allowing contract officers to restrict competition to WOSB in 83 industry categories that were Identified as either "underrepresented” or "substantially underrepresented” by women

· Program Eligibility: Certified small business that is women-owned and controlled (51%+ owned and managed by one or more women)

· Contract Size: $5M for manufacturing contracts; $3M for other goods and services

WIPP had several briefings on the issue, and yesterday, WIPP's Procurement Committee hosted a detailed webinar on the proposed SBA Women's Procurement Program, led by Ann Sullivan, WIPP Government Relations, who then fielded live questions.
