Office of Advocacy Small Business Conference Call - June 29th

The Office of Advocacy has scheduled a small business conference call on June 29, 2010 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. During the conference call, staff from the Department of Treasury will make a presentation entitled "Treasury's Paperless Initiative: What Small Businesses Need to Know”:
Under an initiative announced by the Department of the Treasury, most businesses will be required to make their federal tax deposits electronically instead of with paper coupons beginning in 2011. (Some businesses, primarily those with $2,500 or less in quarterly tax liabilities, still would have the option of mailing in a check with their return.) Mark Stevens of Treasury will share information about the payment options available. Stevens is director of the Tax Collection Division at Treasury's Financial Management Service bureau. His responsibilities include the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) and all other federal tax collection systems, electronic and paper.
