WIPP MEMBER EXPANDS BUSINESS TO INCLUDE GRANT WRITING
Assisting Women-Owned Businesses to Grow Wealth
Sarasota, FL (August 24, 2011) – WIPP Member Nicolina A. Stewart, CPA, President and CEO of CMA, Inc. (http://www.cmaadvisors.net/), a Registered Investment Advisor and CPA Firm, has expanded her services to include grant writing through Grant-Wise, Inc. This unique grant and contract service is targeted to assist women-owned businesses, Charter schools and animal rescue shelters.
Stewart originally started Grant-Wise in 2010 to help local Florida charities and Charter Schools. It recently expanded to serve clients nationally and internationally, particularly those with issues affecting or benefiting women-owned businesses.
"Our track record in winning the grant requests my first year of doing this work was astonishing so I made it into a viable business,” said Stewart. "I also want to make up for the fact that the number one barrier for women-owned businesses is access to capital. Rather than having banks and loans be their only route to grow wealth and their businesses, grants and contract sources can be very viable.”
Grant-Wise proactively researches and monitors new grant and contract opportunities for clients on a continual basis. They write and manage all phases of government, foundation and corporate grants and request for proposal (RFP) responses. Receiving compensation only if the grant or contract is awarded, Grant-Wise also provides full compliance oversight, accounting, reporting and audit support as post-award services for the life of the grant or contract, including renewals.
Stewart started CMA, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor and CPA Firm, more than 25 years ago and has successfully advised wealthy individuals, families and businesses.
