AARP Workforce Profiles

AARP recently launched a new online tool, AARP Workforce Profiles: Selected Characteristics of U.S. Workers and Non-Workers 40+, where you can view and search selected data including, but not limited to, age, geography (national, by state, or by AARP region), type of worker, education, and income. The information is based on population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey. The interactive tool – – will allow users to build custom tables and find up-to-date information.

Participate in Work Reimagined

If you haven't already, take a look at the Work Reimagined webpage at Work Reimagined is the first talent exchange dedicated to helping companies find experienced workers and assisting professionals connect to more satisfying careers through social networking. AARP Launches Year-End $50,000 Educational "Sweepstakes”

AARP recently launched a sweepstakes to entice Americans 40+ to learn more about how to make key retirement decisions. The Jeopardy-style trivia game AARP sponsored in June was won by a 67-year-old widow from Illinois. She received the money – which she will use to put her house on the market and downsize – one day after the first anniversary of her husband's passing. This new, year-end sweepstakes is a board game with 5 learning segments, each focused on a step in the retirement planning process.
