Inc. published a good article earlier in the month: An Arcane Tax That's Probably Costing Your Company Too Much. Check it out if you haven’t already.

We organized a petition: Tell Congress to Permanently Ban Internet Access Taxes. There are currently over 43K signers. Please feel free to sign, spread the word and share!

In celebration of Women’s History Month in March, we put together a short infographic and accompanying blog based in on our 2013 National Tax Survey findings.  Check it out and feel free to share and/or build your own commentary on it.

In the coming weeks and months we will be putting together infographics on some of our other surveys and key states. Next up we will be putting one together ahead of Tax Day to highlight some of the findings from our National Tax Survey. I will circulate it as soon as it goes live.

Network highlights:

Here are some highlight pieces from various ally organizations that I wanted to share. We’re always looking for articles/op-eds, etc… to showcase to our network – keep them coming!:

Don't Tax My Child via Kristal High, Editor-in-chief at Politic365 in The Huffington Post. (This is great personal example that showcases how the Internet (and wireless) has become an essential aspect of everyday life and why the Internet tax moratorium should be permanently extended.)

Thousands petition Congress to ban Internet access taxes via Josh Peterson at (Good article highlighting our petition and the Internet Tax Freedom Act bills along with the Wireless Tax Fairness Act.)

A couple of March publication releases to make everyone aware of:

·         Citizens Against Government Waste released their new book, Telecom Unplugged: Ushering in a New Digital Era. A thorough examination of the telecom policy world – from broadband to spectrum to taxes – and everything in between.

·         Tax Foundation released the 2014 edition of Facts & Figures 2014: How Does Your State Compare? Fantastic resource for all things tax/spending stats by state. See table 28 for the breakdown on state and local wireless rates. blogs:
