Important WIPP Transitions – A Note from Lisa Firestone

Good Afternoon,

Kristie Arslan – Farewell

As many of you are aware, Friday June 3, 2016 was Kristie’s last day as Executive Director of WIPP. For the past two years Kristie has worked diligently to support WIPPs mission and vision with integrity and pride. Under Kristie’s leadership we have matured as an organization and will benefit from her management and leadership for many years to come. Over the past several months, I have come to really appreciate the time, energy and competing priorities that came with her job.

Kristie-thank you for everything you have done for WIPP, you will always have a special place here as an entrepreneur and friend. I saw this quote that I thought was very appropriate to your next adventure: “Life’s ultimate adventure is when you love what you are doing and are doing it with the ones you love”

We wish you and your husband the best of luck as your business continues to “POP”.

Introducing WIPP’s Managing Director – Roz Alford

Organizational transitions can be both challenging and at the same time present an opportunity to identify opportunities for positive change. Following Barbara’s retirement we began the process of redesigning the job description for the next WIPP Leader. Upon Kristie’s resignation, we took the time to thoroughly evaluate, assess, and understand the organization’s operations, obligations, and staff alignment through a very active transition committee led by WIPP Board Secretary, Roz Alford. Although there is an active search ongoing for a permanent WIPP Leader, I am very pleased to announce that Roz has agreed to take on the position of WIPP Managing Director in the interim to ensure a seamless transition upon Kristie’s departure and to support the WIPP Boards, Coalition Partners, Members and Sponsors as we move forward in what will be a very exciting year. Please join me in thanking Roz, Kristie and the entire WIPP Staff for their hard work, dedication, and flexibility in ensuring that this time of transition is seamless to our Members, Coalition Partners, and Sponsors.

Lisa M. Firestone

Chair, WIPP Board of Directors
