Bryan, TX September 1st, 2016 – Girl Scouts of Central Texas (GSCTX) honored four outstanding women and one business at this year’s Women of Distinction event at Miramont Country Club last night. These members of our community exemplify individual excellence and high levels of achievement, as well as community service. The evening’s honorees were: Sheree Boegner, Margaret Bryant, Linda Gilbert and Jeannie McGuire.

Neutral Posture was honored as this year’s “Distinguished Workplace for Women” for its continued support of and encouragement of women’s leadership and professional success.

These women are outstanding members of our community exemplified through individual excellence and high levels of achievement. They are successful in business, education, philanthropy, multicultural activities, and of course, empower women to take the lead. The honorees have become role models for GSCTX’s membership, girls and adults alike. They are living examples that hard work and perseverance can lead to great achievements. They’ve raised families, nurtured full‐time careers in various fields and still managed to dedicate hours upon hours of volunteering to various organizations that resonated with their values and bettered the quality of life of those around them.

“I want to congratulate all of our Women of Distinction! It’s an honor to spend an evening with these inspiring women who are role models for all our Girl Scouts across Central Texas,” says Lynelle Mckay, CEO of GSCTX. “Girl Scouts provides girls with leadership experiences that help them find their inner confidence, seek out their dreams, and become our next generation of Women of Distinction! The community of supporters who have united for this event has given us the power to better serve our girls and for that we are truly grateful.”
