Technology
The technology sector is creating the jobs of tomorrow and shaping the future of our workforce. Computing occupations are the leading source of wage growth in the United States and account for two-thirds of all expected jobs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Currently, only 11% of the world’s information security workforce are women. Congress should ensure appropriate funding and investment in STEAM education in schools and prioritize investment in cybersecurity workforce development and training to address the current shortage of cybersecurity talent. Investment in technologies such as artificial intelligence and the nation’s infrastructure is critical to US competitiveness around the globe.
